The display text is in Italian BUT the voice system is in English?!?!?! I tried downloading and installing both the SMS reader and the Language update for voice, just in case and both to no avail. Theres no download for this issue as far as i can see and i searched for hours..

Apart from this issue my car and the blue and me is perfect so im a little miffed. Already had to wait 6 weeks over the estimated time of delivery and dont wanna send back for a fix tbh if i dont have to.

Any ideas guys...?

Just got my GP today and i have the same problem. Can't find any info anywhere to change this.

Just called the dealer and i'm the third person so far to call about this. They have said that something has changed on this new version of the Blue&Me and they are waiting to here back from Fiat on how to change it bakc to English.

Guess it's a good way to learn a new language anyway. : )

I have the same problem, had my lovely new white grande punto delivered today and have spent ages trying to work out why I've got Italian words on the display.
Looks like I'm going to have to learn some Italian ?

Take it back to where you got the car, this should of been done at pre-delivery inspection!

i also have the italian txt on mine, thought it was me doing stupid, guess i quick trip to the dealers is needed

Hi - I've just got a GPS and got the same problem. Is this something that all facelift Puntos suffer from?

Peter (GPS T-Jet 5 door, white, climate, sub, dark windows)

Just had a call from my dealer, they have a software update that will fix this problem now, so i suggest getting in touch with your dealer.

Mines all sorted now. Took about 3 mins and all done. (y)

Took mine back to the dealers and they tried something that they'd been sent from Fiat but it didn't work. Said they will call me when they get a fix.

Actually, I couldn't take it back to the dealers that I bought it from, it came from somewhere miles away because I bought it through Broadspeed. Took it to my local dealers.

What exactly did your dealer do, do you know?

They had got an update from Fiat and popped it onto a usb stick. Stuck it in the right hand side port in the glove compartment, turned the ignition on and waited a couple of minutes while it installed.

Maybe they didn't get you the correct update, but i don't know why though as my dealer had no problem. Maybe i'm just blessed with a dealer that knows what they are doing. :)

I know by everyones previous posts, that the logical answer is to TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER, but is there a way of doing it yourself?
I just visited the Blue&Me website and they got all sorts of things on there regarding updates and downloads.

I got nowhere with it, but I thought someone else might have more luck

:bang:

Anyone know if this fix is available for download. I'm also having this same problem.

Its a second hand car so I dont think taking it to the dealer is going to help.

I'm updated to the latest version of B&M which didnt help.

Unless its changed recently you can download the english pack from blueandme.net and just update it.. takes 30 seconds..

http://www.blueandme.net/blueandme/index.aspx?brand=fga&lang=en#/support/download/

For Gen 1 you have to go through the process of selecting the options in the dropdown, then wen it shows the updates, click Applicative in the 4 bliue boxes, and scroll down past the Sony Ericsson update to get the the bottom where theres a languages it, click that and pick the correct language from the resulting screen.

Make sure for Gen 2 (newer) models you pick english in the 4th dropdown.. and reflash using that update.
(In fact it looks like the language packs appear on applicative for Gen 2 as well so may be worth a try)

As always... be careful to to flash anything you shouldnt (although it usually stops you if you try ive found)
