Hi All,

Wondered if you could help. My blue and me is driving me round the bend. Ever since I installed Ecodrive on the car the blue and me seems to go wrong. Firstly, yesterday night my ipod was plugged in and it kept allowing me to scroll through the albums by saying albums but then when pressing the 'OK' button it would say 'No Media Found'. That problem seemed to have solved itself today on my way home from work. Then I stopped for a starbucks (treating myself as its my birthday tomorrow) and then I got back in the car and wanted to call someone - pressed the Windows button and got the beep and then said call mum. Blue and Me didn't respond. It didn't do anything apart from keep running through all the available voice options. I pressed the windows button again and said 'Albums'. Again, the car ignored me and nothing happened! The car would play the songs from the ipod but wouldn't pay any attention when I said albums. I stopped the car as it was irritating me and turned off the ignition and took key out. Got another USB from the boot and put it in. However, same thing. It would play all the songs but wouldn't pay any attention when I pressed the windows button and said albums. Also, occasionally over the past week when I press the windows button I don't get any beep. This is alongside the fact that when I have plugged my ipod in for the last week it keeps taking about 5 mins to load media or build the media library as the car keeps saying.

it has been a common problem since blue and me was launched as far as i know fiat have not yet released an update for the the system but in the past i have found that disconnecting the blue and me box under the dash board and leaving it for a few minutes and reconnecting it the unit builds up static around it and confuses the comand controls that is what fiat say but then again their is no update for the system. you could go to a dealer and get it plugged into the examiner and see if the body computer has any errors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I've had problems I've either disconnected the battery for a few minutes, or with the "No media" error, I've put a spare memory stick in for a few minutes and then gone back to the original.

Is disconnecting as you describe simpler than this? Where exactly is the connection? How difficult would it be to get a switch fitted to disconnect the Blue and Me as this seems to occur so often.

I had a similar problem and solved by putting in a different USB stick. However, at the moment I have the problem that the blue and me wont always remember what playlist it was playing when turning off the engine. Sometimes it does, but more often than not it doesnt especially if u turn the car off and on again rapidly (i.e stalling), and each time it is rebuilding the media library and I have to wait to reselect the playlist. Any possible solutions?
