updated phone list

updated phone list

I have e90....and they can not read SMS. But calling, dialing and recieving works great. You have to copy your contacts via NOKIAs Adressbook (select as many as you like/need (limit is about 800 entries!) and recieve via blutooth on Blue&Me.
That´s the only way I found works for me.

Hi

Am new to this forum and new to Fiat as I just purchased Fiat Grande Punto Emotion Pack 1.4 Petrol. My E90 Communicator and Blue&Me work fine for dialing and receiving as you say but the first thing I wanted is transferring the phone book. Unfortunately I am unable to.

So since you say "you have to copy your contacts via Nokia's address book", wha exactly do you mean? The first thing that happens is that I get a message INCOMPATIBLE with Blue&Me!

Any clue please?

make sure you check if you need to transfer the Contacts to the car first. Later handsets with latest firmware (including latest Blue & Me firmware in car) means you don't have to transfer your contacts across, the car reads them (and the call logs) right out of the phone via bluetooth.

  1. I have just bought a Fiat 500 with Blue and Me and 1 week before bought 2 LG phones. Blue and me says it cannot transfer the phonebook from my LG although the phone is paired and works OK. However, my old Motorola RAV3 probably will allow the phonebook transfer. Can I copy my phonebook to the Blue & Me and "save" it there from my Motorola and then put the SIM back into my LG and use it from the car?
  2. When I verbally command the system to dial a number, it adds extra number 1 digits all over the place. Even when I ask it to delete the number, it does it again. It will not recognise either my husband or my voice command with numbers. Any advice?

Hi

I used to have an LG Cookie (KP500) and now have an LG Viewty (GM360). It is possible to transfer the phone book from the phone to Blue&Me with both these models; however the transfer is a manual one (it doesn't update the phonebook automatically).

After pairing with Blue&Me, Go into Contacts, then Settings, then Send all contacts via Bluetooth. The phone will then send your phonebook to Blue&Me. You'll have to do this whenever you update your phonebook with new contacts etc - not a massive hardship as it only takes a minute or so.

One other thing I've noticed is that the LG Cookie read out my received text messages, the Viewty does not. However I've not updated my Blue&Me for over a year so it may well work with a newer B&M version (getting a new 500 next month so waiting until then to try).

I don't know about other models (think the Pop works in the same way as the cookie). I know old LG models (such as the original Viewty) didn't work with manual sending so hopefully it means all recent models will now at least allow you to send phonebook manually.

I hope this helps!

Hi All,
I'm gathering from the posts that there is no up to date list of new phones that work with blue&me?!
I'm looking to get a new phone - nearly just bought one but something made me stop incase it didn't work with blue &me!
I'm looking at an android phone ideally.
So far looking at
sony experia x10 mini pro
samsung monte
blackberry curve
orange san francisco

Does anyone know if any of these work? And if not maybe of a good phone that does?!
Also if phones do not work with blue & me is that it or is there a fix?
Thanks!

Re: updated phone list - Nokia 2710

On a 2008 Bravo 150 Multijet... (recent acquisition).

The 2710 connects and transfers the contact book. When attempting to dial, only the last entry on an individual contact is used; there is no choice of alternate numbers. I haven't tried the trick of replicating entries and using /h or /m after the name to identify them.

This also applies to 'last number' dialling - even if the previous call was to the first entry on a contact, an attempt to use 'last number' will use the last entry on the contact. This is something of a pain... although selecting a last-number redial from the phone works as expected.

Have not yet received an incoming message or call, so I can't comment on them.

Re: updated phone list - Nokia 2710

Found this while looking through the alfa forum dont know if it provides any new info
Well, I appreciate the effort, but if you would have looked at the last update date on the image you can see it is really old info 18-10-2010. The latest update on the FIAT site is from 01-03-2011. :D

Is there anybody out there using blue and me with windows phone 7.5 / 7.8 or 8? I am going to buy Lumia 920 and wish to use it with my 2011 Fiat 500 blue and me. iPhone 4 is ok except message reader but I need to be sure about Lumia. Will I see my contacts? Last Calls? And ability to see who's calling?

I have Lumia 710 and it's Windows phone 7.5. All the things you mentioned are working even the message reader! Only problem i have noticed is that sometimes the blue&me disconnects phone and you have to connect phone again manually.

My car is 2010 Punto evo and i'm not sure of my blue&me version.

Re: Lumia 920 with Blue&Me

Hi all

I have a new Lumia 920, i have the text reader and call integration working fine but i just can't get the music to play through the speakers.

The car is a Fiat Punto Evo with Blue&Me

My old iPhone worked/works fine and this is driving me crazy.

It is designed for windows phones but i can't play my music (i do long journeys so it is annoying) does anyone have any ideas on how i can play my music via the speakers?

Any help is welcome

Thanks

Hello,

Since 2and a half year I have a Fiat Punto EVO with Blue and Me.
Then I bought also a Nokia 6303 classic. It worked well. No problems.
2 weeks ago I bought a smart-phone. Its a Huawei Ascend G510.
It has bluetooth, but works very bad with the Blue and Me system.
Sometimes it works, somtimes not. One time my Blue and me System
even didnt work at all. I had to restart the car. Also the km counter/odometer started acting strange. (blinking)
Today i started using my Nokia again and all worked well.
My question is: Is there an updated list for phones for the Blue and me system. The latest list I found was from blue and me net. compatibility
(30-8-2012)
Is there a more recent list? Hope anyone can help me
(If I find one, I will post it. I will also post what the advice is
from my dealer/fiat Netherlands.)

Can verify ZTE Blade works well. Took 6 attempts to get my Qubo to recognise it.
An old phone, yes but we leave one permanently in car with giff gaff sim for free gg to gg calls.

Does the ZTE Blade work with SMS message readout (MAP) functionality? Have you flashed it with a custom ROM at all?

I tried it ages ago with the original ROM and MAP didn't work..

Can also confirm it works with the Nexus 4 (But no MAP), Acer Liquid MT with Acer ROM (No MAP), CM7 (No MAP)

The Motorola Defy+ works 100% including MAP on the motorola ROM.. but with CM7.. No MAP

I'm busy trying to port the MAP to the Nexus 4 to see if I can get it working as its annoying to have the feature and not be able to use it.

Re: Pairing ZTE blade.

I had ZTE blade flashed with experimental cyanogen mod 9 couldn't get it to connect.
Flashed with Swedish spring and it works fine. Not sure about MAP Will check and report.
Wife uses car phone more than me..
I've put auto answer on and that makes hands free much better.

We leave phone permanently in car , an old mk 1 model but perfect for use like this as not worth a load of money now...
