Cheers, it's nice to know that there is some official Fiat input available. Hope that you will continue to monitor this site. (y)

:idea: What's the likelihood of anyone from the technical side coming aboard, officially or unofficially, to perhaps give some input/advice on some of our other concerns?

Fiat Marketing!! Welcome!! Im 4/5 days into my ecoDriving now, and its already proving quite interesting.

So far ive learnt its cheaper to get to work than come home :(

PS Could you pass on the fault & fix we found on the install (its on the previous page to this) to your tech guys!

Keep up the good work though!! One question i still have is i thought you could see other peoples profiles and ecoscores but i cant seem to see how to do it?

I hear on the grapevine that the fix will be included in an upcoming release - I'm sure the tech team are very grateful...

It looks like that you can only see the profiles and scores of the users of eco drive on your machine and of the community as a whole through ecoVille. I don't think you can see individual user's scores...

Ciao!

ok couple of questions, Can i keep music on the stick at the same time as ecodrive and will it install and work ok? I only know of 1 usb port?? open the glovebox and its facing you slightly on the left? Also i think probably not but will it affect my map?

Yeah, it seems that you can play music at the same time as installing and using ecoDrive...

That's the one i've been using on my GP...

I'm pretty sure it won't affect your map...

No, it makes no changes to the ECU, but i do remember reading on the GP section that a mapped ECU does not neccesarily report the correct MPG figures to the MFD, so whether these incorrect figures get reported to Eco:Drive im not sure. I would suspect the Eco:Drive figures will also be incorrect.

Either way if you manage to improve your Eco index over time, then obviously you will be saving cash and benefitting the environment.

Alex, I see that you have discovered that if you spell eco:Drive correctly you get the big grin in the middle of the word.

Reeeto, Ive sorted it.
Some of us are still runing 5.2 software (not sure if this can be updated at the dealers) but

if you open the file (PENDRIVE:\Install.inf) it only has the 5.3 installer.

[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.3]
Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB

Change it to be like this

[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.2]
Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB
[Windows Mobile for Automotive 5.3]
Open1 = \iFiat\ED7_R_x_4_EcoDrive-1100_single-install_F.ARM920.CAB

Then go and install.

Once its done turn off the key and then restart the car.
Press Windows and say "ECODRIVE ON"

Mrs Blue will let you know that its on.

Do you need to turn it on manually everytime you drive the car or when you tun it on is that it "on" untill otherwise told?

Looks like my country isn't in that list in the application.
Any idea what's that field used for? like fuel price or what ?

Oh, was that the language ?

Uhmm I get USB Error: 10 :(
B&M says that I need to check the files... :(

I installed it on my GP and started collecting data.
Being the inpetient type, I put the stick on the computer to check what was written on it. But to my surprise, only my music was there...

When I start the car I get the 'Ecodrive On' message. Is the no files behaviour normal? Does blue&me write files only when its buffer is full? Any ideas?

How does EcoDrive calculate the cost of each journey? I have some pretty convincing figures, for example a 16 mile run cost me £1.54, but surely this is incorrect as EcoDrive does not know how much I paid for diesel - and I can't find anywhere to specify such?

yeah that is weird?!?! i would have thought you had to put in how much it costs.

Mine says "EcoDrive On" on the dash everytime i start it up :) managed 62 on the eco scale :D although it says I have a heavy right foot in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and fourth gears :eek:

62 :eek: Is that your normal driving or was you really trying to drive economically to get that score?

I'm on 49 now but started off in the 20's lol and havnt really changed my driving. I think it varies becase im in rush hour traffic weekdays and probably driving a bit faster at weeekends.

i asked the exact same question, it seems fiat do a weekly update of the average cost of fuel for each country and thats held centrally on their end, which the applicaiton refers to each time it needs that calculation...
