I am sorting my music out for my iPod to play in my new 500 when I get it this week.

I understand the music needs to be Mp3 or Wav so am converting my music using iTunes.

MP3 format takes up more room than current AAC format. Does anyone know:

1. Does WAV music sound OK?

2. iTunes gives me 3 Mp3 qulaity options depending on kbps. Does anyone know if 128 will play ok or best option to use?

Thanks! Am so excited about the 500 & Blue & Me

I am in the same boat of laboriously converting my music to mp3.
I ripped a new CD into 'Apple Lossless' at 720kbps, then AAC 128kbps and then mp3 192kbps. I then did a 'blind test' on the wife and she couldn't tell the difference! Unless you are music buff I wouldn't worry. I am doing mine at 160kbps so that I can differentiate those from the 128kbps AAC's. Don't go higher than 192kbps as I read they won't play on B&M, and don't use variable bit rate, for the same reason. If you have an ipod you could have a high bit rate version for the pc/ipod and a low rate version in a playlist that you keep on a memory stick.
(I knew nothing about any of this stuff till a few days ago).
Cheers.

I just tried loading a USB Flash Drive with a couple of pop songs in 192 kps, 256 kps and 320 kps in Mp3 format using I-Tunes.

When you plug the Flash Drive into the Blue + Me port it will play ALL of them.

I thought that Blue + Me was limited to a maximum of 192 kps ???
Obviously not.

From now on I will load all songs at 320 Kps - Much sharper, fuller, richer sound.......Sounds GREAT at 320 kps!

As far as I know, it's not limited. I've even used lossless WMA. Blue&Me just doesn't play protected media formats.
