Today my beloved Panda has gone into the dealer to have its paint sorted. Ive asked them to do it properly or Ill be a bit pi**ed!
Anyway I now have a 1.2 Dynamic Punto on an 04 plate with 2300 miles on the clock... its horrible compared to the Panda so for anyone thinking of getting a normal 8 valve Punto, save some dosh and buy the Panda, its better made, rides better and is more fun to drive, nuff said!

They might not be laughing at a Panda if the promised Abarth version materialises...but in the meantime I'd be happy to pootle about in a 1.1 - in black...very city chic ;)

I agree the Mk2 Punto looks better, but the Mk3 Punto is horrid[V]
Also they may laff but my Panda will see off an 8v Punto... just!!!!

Polcat, that truly sucks ass! I learned to drive in a 1.2 16v Clio (X-reg). What a pile of s**t of a car. It was slower than my old 903cc Uno! [:0]

And the Panda damn well should be better than the Punto, it's a much newer design :D:p

Hmm. French.

I learnt in a DCi (1.5L Diesel). it felt posh in comparison to the Cinq. Bits fall off my mums Clio (1.4 Sport) a bit more reliably than my Sporting Cinq, which just sporadically dies! (Annoyance!)

The Abarth Panda will be schveet. I personally love the interior of the new Panda (was drooling over one earlier) but I just cant face the idea of driving a van around as a day to day car!! The 5 door's fair enough, but the 3 door is a van!!

Is the 1.2 in the Panda MPi or SPi?

Yeah i bet the panda is a nice comfy roomy car but im sorry you cant say its a better drive... its impossible [^]. Yeah i think your right its the diesel. I love diesel cars now I want a 1.9JTD punto mk2 3door and Angel Tune the mofo will be fast as f**k :D.

It is a better drive, it soaks up the bumps far better, the Punto crashes around on potholes and the like. Also the clutch has a better feel in the Panda as do the brakes, addmitedly the Punto has less bdyroll and maybe turns in a bit sharper but thats it really.

Alas if you'd been given a Dynamic your oppinions could well be a bit different. I've driven an Active Punto and compared to my ELX, well, lets say I wont buy from the bottom of the range ever...
