sounds like metal scratching metal but cant visiably see anything, had new tyres put on sunday.

only happens when pulling out parking space etc not while going round bends with speed.

any ideas?

did the noise happen before u had new tyres fitted? if there wider tread pattern i.e tred goes all the way to the sidewall then they may be catching somewhere when ur on full lock where as ur old ones may have had rounded sidwalls.
Other than that it might be a problem with ur power steering pump or something along those lines!:(

same tyres m8.

My car did make4 a slight scratchy noise but nothing like it does now.

might it be the brakes?

I get a grinding noise from my front left brake. I can only hear it when ive got the passenger window open.

I know y this is tho- i had to take a bolt out of the hub (that held the disc in along with the wheel bolts) to make my alloys fit. It was weird bcoz my old alloys went straight on. I dunno whether it was wise to remove it but it was the only way i cud get them to fit and my brakes still work [)]

Have you checked the brake disc shield? It's easily bent out of shape but only bend it out slightly at the bottom, anywhere else will cause further noise.
