Here is a picture of my wonderful Bravo 1.6sx. I'm not really into spoilers and stuff but I have fitted a pair of driving lamps (main beam only) and yes, they do make a huge difference.

I also think they look quite alright - they are set into the front grill bit so are reasonably subtle (in my opinion!).

Let me know what you think.

I was going to add driving lamps to mine as we all know about the pisspoor lighting.... but a set of slightly higher wattage bulbs sufficed!

I hear the phillips xenon bulbs are the best with claimed 30% increase. forget the blue ones as they are just coated halogen.
i've got Hella Xenon Plus on the Cinq and yes they do indeed make a difference, still not a patch on the brava main beam lamps though which are excellent - the best I have seen on any car i have driven!
for theose interested xeneon bulbs are brighter as they are filled with xenon gas instead of halogen which allows the filament to burn hotter without oxidising.
the ultimate are the 'gas discharge' lamps used on BMW's and most cop cars - a dead giveaway if you spot 'em check ur speedo!!!

I thought the brava was identicle to the bravo in every way, all the way back to behind the drivers door. Why would they put good lights on a family saloon, and **** lights on a sporty model??
