Owning my Stilo.

I currently own a 2003 1.9 JTD Multiwagon. It's my second Stilo, having owned a 3 door 1.2 from November 2005 to November 2009. In November 2009 flooding was a real issue in my area, and sadly my car's engine had a large drink of water whilst wading through a flood, not helped by the GSR induction I'd fitted to it!

I'm back with another Stilo now after owning an old 1993 Volvo 850 (not even a T5!) followed by a Suzuki Grand Vitara.

I'm loving being back in a Stilo.

I picked my 1.9 JTD MW up on Monday, and I've already got a few issues to sort out. I bought the car cheap, so I don't mind so much.
  • Airbag light is on, soI need to sort that out!
  • Getting a preheat fault, identified as plugs 1 & 4, so that'll be sorted before too long
  • Squealing from front brakes. New pads were fitted prior to me picking it up, would seem they didn't use enough copper grease or a new fiting kit or something.
  • Needs a battery cover
  • Needs and undertray

Finally got my calipers painted and they look pretty smart, but now it's onto the more boring stuff. So off to Halfrauds in a bit for a nice big bottle of oil so I can do an oil and filter change later.

The Latest

Posted 28-08-2007 at 20:52 by ChrisMClark (ChrisMClark's Blog)

It's been a while since I had chance to to anything on my beloved Stilo, but I've got 3 weeks off and not much planned, so plenty of time to get to it! I've also finally got myself a garage after being on the waiting list for 9 months, so I've got my bench and tool boxes in there, and I also treated myself to a (very little, much smaller than I was expecting) roll cab and top box. I now have somewhere dry to do just the bench work...as although the garage is big enough to fit the car in, it's...

Dispute settled

Yates and Bloomfield have refunded the money owed for non-delivery, so I'm a little happier, but still annoyed they've basically got away with it.
