Post Highlighting

Posted 10-09-2010 at 12:00 by ben (A day in the life of the FIAT Forum)

To make threads easier to follow, the highlighting structure now mirrors the blog style.

In any thread, after the first post, any subsequent posts from the OP (original poster) will be highlighted in blue.

Now you can quickly see if they came back, etc etc

Server Move

Posted 17-08-2010 at 08:42 by ben (A day in the life of the FIAT Forum)

Yes, it finally happened. After 6 months (yes, 6 MONTHS!) of planning and arranging, the forum has finally moved onto a new (much faster) server.

I haven't yet finished optimizing the database settings yet, so there is still a bit to do, but for the most part, we're all done.

To keep things easier, if you can post any comments / bugs / whatever in the main thread in the LL - I can then quickly skip through and fix things.

My connection here is pants too, so...

Welcome the Abarths

Posted 15-08-2010 at 13:42 by ben (A day in the life of the FIAT Forum)

Despite people telling me for ages I should get an Abarth section on the forum, I kept putting it off, convinced somewhat that they would be too much like the current FIAT offerings.

It would appear I was wrong

So anyway, the Abarth models now all have their own seperate sections (scroll down and you will see a new "Abarth Cars" category) - along with the relevant social groups, members motors, auction watch and classifieds bits

Sorry it...

Eper gets turbocharged

Posted 27-05-2010 at 22:06 by ben (A day in the life of the FIAT Forum)

Well I finally got around to doing it, EPER no longer runs off its slow and unstable built in webserver - I've completely converted it to IIS.

So gone are the days of "too many connections" and suchlike

I've still got version 20 on at the moment, which I will test for a week or so - but assuming that all works, we'll get upgraded to 5.3 when I get back to the UK

In the meantime, please use and abuse it as much as you can and please...
