As everyone keeps pointing out that they are the same car but with different bodyshells... it seems pointless to keep em seperate as if you own one you will read both anyway?

personally as a 2001 Seicento owner i think this is madness

lets compare my car to a cinqe

chassis are the same
bodyshell isn't
engine isn't
interior isn't
and it is my belief that for the 2001 model the gearbox has been replaced too

so is it really worth merging them?

Yes, the 98 to 03 seis are basically the same, why not? The engines (bar the mpi induction bit), interiors are the same, choice of wheels, bodykits accessories etc. are the same, and I have little doubt that they wil suffer similar problems.

The sei is just a Cinq with a new top, the floor and mechanical components are the same. By the same thinking, should we have a separate forum for 899cc cinqs, and 899cc seis?

Something else that was pointed out previously too, some of the Sei owners might have info for Cinqs as previous owners, and Cinq owners like myself like to keep up to date on the developments of the next car I will probably buy, the Sei. Just gotta get a few more things out the way on mine first tho'.........

They aren't really that different.

should some one be able to sort this for me or show me how i would do it now!!

If merging them would mean that there is a bigger knowledge base for problems then go for it, cause at the mo I need as much help as possible

If you merge them will the old messages still be available to read or will it mean starting from scratch.

well, it looks like a yes then. I guess also clubcento is for both, so they must have something in common. Will merge all messages tonite or tomorrow, so yes gaz, it will just bring it all together. cool, will speed things up a little bit, but also should stop you trawling through both innit (Which i assume you currently do?)
