Technical INJECTION SYSTEM MALFUNCTION

A red warning light intermittently appears whenever I exceed 40mph. The handbook suggests this is a failure in the injection system. Does anyone know if there are any checks I can make myself before I throw it in to the hands of a fiat dealer? There is no difference in the performance of the vehicle but obviously I am a little concerned.

Check your lambda/oxygen sensor

Heater resistance = 4.3 - 4.7 ohm
Probe resistance = 5K ohm (maximum)

engine size?...fuel type?????????

Check IAT sensor (Intake air temperature sensor)........ Its failure won’t cause that much error in engines performance.
