He's working on bringing down the system from within. Bit of a frozen horse, I reckon :).

Mine is on the way out and last summer I had the coolant in the cockpit. I used Bars leak and nine months later its still fine. I will fix the problem when I have the cockpit retrimmed as the dash will have to come out for that.

I think i have the same problem...
I have a little lick in the cabin, and smells like paraflu...
I am thinking of using this staff but i don't the sideeffects..(waterpump,thermostat,ext... this staff gona pass threw there...)
how much of this should i use...?

Happy new year to all...

As far as I can remember I used some similar stuff but to no avail. Don't remember how much I used, though

If you've got a few days off you might as well just remove the whole dash...:D

Careful of using this stuff, I have used it in the past and its fine as a temp repair but if you leave it in for too long it will gum up your rad, water pump and water veins.......

I 'll pass on this stuff althouth i bought it just in case.

i am now programming what other jobs i have to do when i dismantle the dash.

i have a diavia air con and thinking if i can tune it for more cold air. any ideas? bigger evaporator or something?
also the side vents don't blow much air. is this normal?

I don't have air-cond so can't comment but the side vents don't blow very much at all on mine - I have to go faster to force the air through!! :D

Re:Heater Matrix - Leaking coolant

This may be a stupid question but what are the signs for you to know to replace the Heater matrix??

Any idea how much an Italian car specialist like NJS in Pershore would/should charge to have the Heater Matrix replaced?

I have no receipts or bills to suggest that my heater matrix isn't the original one from 1996... My heater seems to be heating quite nicely at the moment.. should I replace it just in case??

When the dashboard is replaced will it fit back in like before or is it guaranteed to creak/make noises etc??

Other than ripping up the foam floor to check that there is no corrosion on the floor, what other things could be checked whilst the dashboard is out?

It starts with the smell of coolant when you put on the fan 1st time.

Then it starts dripping from the matrix under dashbord (wrub on the underside of it with your fingers, just next to the airbag ecu)
Then it starts getting under the mat, smelling, and fastening the rust process.

I've done mine. You can see it in my topic. If you got all parts and are not planning to do other jobs while at it you can get it done in 2 days.
I did about a week over it, but I did a whole lot of other things too.
including 2 days of rewiring en resoldering all my extra equipment in the car(n)
But it is looking mint now;)

EDIT: for got sake don't use any crap products to try and seal it

The windscreen and windows grease up nicely as well if it's leaking coolant.
