I have just ordered alloy wheels for my B! It was about time :)
I have selected OZ Canova 15'.
Have a look to tell me if you like them.

I will keep the pirelli P6 I have recently bought. That is why I will stick with 15 inches. I m getting them from www.karlis.gr for 535 euros.

Those are some nice looking wheels! Nice price too.

You'll have to get some pics when you get them on your B!

When I bought the car, it was wearing 185-55-15 tires. I then put 195/50/15 as it was the closest to the original. I wanted 195-55-15, but the guy at the garage claimed that the 50 profile was more suitable for the car.. so there you go.
I m still wondering if it was the correct choice though :)

The correct size is 195/55/15, the 185 are for the Punto.

Excellent wheels they are simmilar to a choice of three I made when looking for alloys....

but chose these in the end....

These were the last choice....

diamond cut finish is the best choice for a silver barchetta IMO.

That's what I thought. After reading this and some other threads yesterday I made a point of checking the tyre size. Was quite surprised when I saw the 205 on the side! LOL!

There was an online calc somewhere that told you the diffence in speed and what the speedo actually says, but I cannot find it. I think the difference was something like Speedo says 70, but actual speed is 73.

In my B i have the Bri Re720.The previous owner putted them about 3 years ago ,as i can see from what is written in their sides.Very noisy tires and not the best grip .I also own a Punto HGT were i have tried the Exalto2 and the Yokohama V101 in 195-50/15.The Yokos were superb, very good grip both in wet and dry tarmac, very good feeling when cornering, excellent handling and feedback. The Exaltos are so and so,they also have a very good grip but the feeling and feadback they give me is not that good, the have softer sides and the steering is a bit lazy.
So i am thinking of using Yokos V101 in my B soon .Should i stick with the 195-55/15 or choose the much more cheaper 195-50-15(about 150 € cheaper)?
The tire man:) also suggested the Yoko S-drive and TOYO TR1(something),are there any experience in any of them?

Nice one!

Turns out, when speedo says 60, I'm really doing 59.

Based on the original being 195/55/15 and mine being 205/50/15 (not the 205/55/15 I previously said, checked it again:eek:)

Yet if the original is 195/50/15 then I am doing 61 when speedo says 60.

My Yoko's are A539s, which from reading Yoko's site are summer tyres. I'm still driving my B now in the winter, and they are still good tyres. Had no problems with grip, and I have felt confident while cornering. Unless I get some serious other recommendations I will probably get the same again when I need new ones.

Not from Fiat at that price thats for sure hehehe The Tyers are £360 new and the alloys are some £700 ish from Fiat. I got them from a bloke who is a driving instructor and just got a new Punto. He did not want to keep 17" alloys on it so went from the Fiat garage too the local tyer place 8 miles down the road and had them replaced. :) Thus in mint condition but second hand price :) (y)

Pick them up tonight about 8pm :)

I just got a set of 16 inch alloys with Micehlin Pilot Sport tyres. Had them a week and so far I'm very impressed. I went for 205/45 so the overall diameter stays the same. I expected the ride to be a bit harsher, but it's actually smoother as long as you don't hit a huge hole!

BAD new the wheels dont fit :-( only a mm or so out as the alloy is hitting the middle part of the bearing. The four bolts are out by a two mm as well !!??!! but as good as line up. These alloys look fab on the B so might have them machined to fit if poss.

Just going to go look up the wheel spec on the new punto V the Barchetta.
