Styling New Alloys

Alan I have bought the same wheels as yourself, for my car, I have spacers behind the original steel wheels, the spacer is held in place by two bolts with raised heads, the purpose of these bolts is to help to locate the wheel when refitting I think. Could you advise please did you have the same spacer and bolts, did you refit the spacer, if so how did you retain the spacer as the raised bolts foul the new wheels.

Regards Dave M

I just cut mine down so I could fit my new alloys. (y) The two bolts with raised heads main funtion is to hold the disc in place when you remove the main four wheel bolts. Yep you are correct, the bolts also are for wheel locating when putting it back on.

Just put an order in for the wobbly bolts £22 for 16. Plus £6 postage.

Fingers crossed this will fix the 4x98 into 4x100 problem. If the bolts are OK I will order some wobbly locking nuts as well.

All the wheels now clear on the front and back and fit perfect. (y)

Wheels are on and after a quick slow drive things feel OK. One of the plastic covers in the rear wheel area is rubbing ,so I will have to look into that at the weekend. I will get some finished pics ASAP.

She looks real nice, even if I do say so myself.

Hi Doc, looking good:D
I see you have one of those rather large Barchetta badges on the back end from Germany? I was thinking of getting one but at 24.5cm long I thought it would be a little on the large side, your opinion?? regards clive.

Yo Doc!
What's the black loop sticking ot of the front grill above the reg plate? having trouble with your bonnet release cable??:D

Hi Clive,
Na the badge looks fine. Its all down to your personal opinion. I love it as I was never a fan of the old F/I/A/T badge.

It was one of the first things I changed a few years ago now. The badge looks as good then as it does now.

I picked mine up from Germany for £25.

heehhehheh NA hhehe its the battery charger cable. When the car is in the garage over winter I plug her into the slow charger. This way it stops me having to keep the bonnet open.

She is almost 100%. The only thing wrong at the mo is one of the center dash lights is out. Thats it :)

Now I've seen yours, I'm bidding on one for mine on ebay.de!!
I need to do loads of little bits on mine that's why I'm thinking of getting a newer one because I intend to keep it long term 'cos I love it:D

Wasn't convinced by the wheels but now that there on I'm having a re-think about whether I am as happy with my bog standard 15" turbines! Doc - you keep encouraging me to spend money! I'm am going to be in so much trouble if you keep it up!;)
