My beautiful little boat has a few niggles.....
1) My (replaced) handbrake rubber boots have perished after 7 months!! Is this normal? (seems a bit on the extravagant side to me!) (does a winter of 'sorry, can't make it to work as my handbrake's frozen (again!)' loom?)
2) My car still smells of petrol (even after DTR 'diagnosed and rectified')
3) Is there (and this is not a niggle with the car..) anywhere nearer than DTR that knows B's? (Bloody long way from NE Somerset)
Question 3) is the one I'd like the answer to most.....
Anyone help?

Black & White Garage in Newbury (just off the M4/A34 intersection) are actually an Alfa specialist but have worked on my, and several other B's.

I can wholeheartedly endorse Black & White - when I had a water leak my nearest Fiat Dealer said I had to replace my rubber seals which was not covered under warranty (car was just over two years old at the time). I went to B&W for a quote on this work and they said it was likely just a blocked drain hole. They were right and flushed them all out for a small cost.

BTW Any recommendations for someone to do interior work? I want leather seats and would like to upgrade the interior over all as my gear knob is seriously worn and the leather is torn. I have checked out a local guy that Black and White recommended but he didn't seem keen on the job - prefers older classic cars it seems.

a gear knob is a do-it-yourself job heres mine!!a sparco gear knob i find really nice !!i also cut one inch off the stemm looks nicer!!

How'd you get the silver center console? Did you paint it yourself or is there some exotic type of B that comes standard with it?
I also *love* the sparco gearknob, it looks standard... and that's a good thing

New B's had the center dash in silver as original, and lots of people change this part by painting it to look like the new style. DTR even offer this service if you dont want to get your hands dirty.
