Hi folks!
My lovely wife is the happy and proud owner of a 1995, silver, barchetta..
bought it July this year.

Great car! I am glad we choose to buy it!

2 things I wonder about:

1. The oil filter
My local shop doesn't find Barchetta in the list.
Is the filter the same as Ritmo?


2. Air Bag Indicating lamp.
It is allways shining. A work shop has looked at it, but cannot find anything else but that the signalproducer to the lamp maybe is out of order.
They do not know for sure

Any good ideas here?

I am pretty sure the filter is the same as an Alfa romeo 1.8 twinspark, it should also be the same as the Punto HGT. The Alfa's engine uses the same block wheres the punto is the same engine as the B.

Air Bag Indicating lamp problem,

First get the airbag lamp reset at Fiat, If the problem comes back
check the seat OC sensor as it could have gone or it could be the airbag ECU is triggering a warning because of a fault in the system.

If its the ECU thats shot I have found one on eBay for sale at the mo (26/09/2006)
