Hi - some help please.

Seen an Alloy Front Strut Brace on ebay - hope it will fit my 03 b.

Has anyone got one of these fitted and can offer any views on this make (Raid UK Ltd).

2 kinds of strut brace for the B.

One that will fit with ABS and one with out. I never checked and just bought one and it fitted, I can not see why ABS would obstrust a strut brace. Mine was an 02 model so nothing changed in the engine bay to yours.

I would say this would fit.

The item in the link looks like a strut brace for an ABS car. The reason for differences is that on cars with ABS, the modulator and ECU assembly is just to the right (if you were sat in the car) of the nearside suspension turret -so, if the brace went in a straight line between the tops of the turrets, it would foul the modulator, ECU and/or pipework. Braces for ABS cars have a joggle (technical term) in them to clear the ABS gubbins.

Thanks for your comments - still undecided but still favour chrome. Shame the Sparco is not available in black.

B is in for a service at DTR on Friday so I will see what they have got / can recommend.

Will update next week and then put Blog on Barchetta Mondo site once fitted to share experience.

Yeah a strut brace is worth it, stops some role, especially being left hand drive, you lean into the corners so much more.

Also a stiffer suspension is recommended.

Been to DTR toady for an annual service.

They have just received strut bars in stock - red so maybe the sparco versions.

I had one put on my car (03 plate) before a 125 mile return journey in the rain . I can honestly say that this has improved the ride and feel so much - fail to see why these were not fitted as standard or at least an option.

AGree with previous comment - if you have not yet got one you must, you will not regret it!

75 quid + VAT.

I know that is more than what you will pay just for the brace on Ebay but will now be guarenteed and you know they have done these before.
