still looking for a set of headlamp for europe there must be a pair out there somewhere:cry:

Hi,

I´m out in spain now with my Barchetta, its on English plates at mo but i will be permanently importing car soon...the headlamps are available from DTR who will post you a set of second hand headlamps converted to drive on the right. or you can buy a new set from the Headlamp shop on EBay its a german shop they will set you back about 350 pounds so i would use DTR SPORTS.com in london.

I haven´t changed my lamps yet but i must say i have checked the brightness of them and the beam angle and they don´t bother anyone comin the other way at all...i changed my Seat leons because the angle of the beam was way up the road and would have blinded people for sure. But the Barchetta beam angle is much lower and seams to be okay...infact when it goes for its ITV and import check i may just see if it gets through. if it fails on anything out here in spain they just check the that you have made the changes later on on another day ie if the lights fail.

Greta driving the barchetta out here in the mountains of spain though. its national park where we live and spanish come here for their hols and the looks you get here and the comments they love the car...there arent any other convertibles here!

Cheers

thanks mark m
iam going to a garage tomorrow to have them checked if they will pass the ITV (mot) here will let you know.

thank s the car is going in tomorrow to ckeck if i need to change them or if they need adjusting if they can this guy will be able to do it , i saw him cut a pair of bushes from solid rod of nylon or what ever they use ,just like they do at fiat garages, here athe old boys still know how to use there head and hands and not just replace everything and give you a large bill

As said previously the BMW has a simmilar elipsoid headlight that has three screws between the grey and white part of the light that you loosten & turn to change the LH to RH setting. I'm supprised the Barchetta lights aren't the same.
