Hi

For the last couple of times when I've filled up the B on a Friday, I've noticed by Saturday am there is some fuel leaking via the fuel cap. I opened the cap a couple of weeks ago and there was some petrol still in the bit between the flap inside the fuel tank and the fuel cap, so I presumed it was just that I'd let some drips into there which hadn't gone down into the tank.

However, when I did the same this Saturday, the fuel fair gushed out at me, suggesting that the tank was overfilled somehow. My theory is that in the hot weather, any air in the tank is expanding and forcing fuel out - I do park the car on a slight angle (front left is about 1 foot (possibly less) higher than back right) so the fuel cap is at the bottom of that slope - does anyone else have a similar problem? I suspect the hot weather is the root of the problem, and I'll reverse the parking when I've filled it up from now on to see if that cures it!!

Matt
