Just got my barchetta ('98 model) a few weeks back and the speedo conks out on me. Went to have it checked out - the garage (Firela near Clapham) tells me it'll cost over £500 to get the speedo head replaced! HEART-ATTACK!!!

So any advice please on how best I get my speedo fixed?

Any garages recommended?

It don't think the whole thing needs replaced as it sometimes works.

Been searching for speedo heads and sensors on the net but no luck so far.

I love my barchetta but it is making me cry.

Also the garage I bought it from tells me my speedo is not covered as the warranty is only for the engine, chassis, and brakes. What is my legal standing on this?

Hi
Try http://www.ebay.de as you will find loads more Barchetta parts on German ebay then the UK site. (Make sure that if you get anything from Germany eBay you can pay with paypal as the bank will charge you £15 to send money)

Give DTR a call 020 8878 6078 (could have a second hand one)
http://www.dtrsports.com/

Give this bloke an email, he has loads of Barchetta parts and is sure to have the part you need. [email protected]
Hope this helps,
