hi folks, i have the cloth seats which look abit faded and tatty now. (although the cloth doesnt burn thighs in the sun).
was wondering about dropping in some leather seats from somewhere - like a GTV, or Fiat Coupe, anyone else tried it?

ben

yep into a punto mk1 from a coupe took ages and had to make my own plates to mount the punto subframes to the seats as the coupe subframes are about 1 1/2 inches wider!! i suggest after market seats with correct subframes!!

How about a re-trim? Half and half ( no not rice and chips ) might solve the issue of hot seats. Find a good car upholsterererer and there would be no issue of making them fit, subframes etc.

If you went down the second hand route ie GTV they'd still be worn out seats me thinks. It'd be great if you found an old B with leather trim tho, cos you could have the door cards in leather as well(y)

Thanks for your replies gents(y) , looks like it'll be a bit of cloth shampoo and conditioner then! least i wont burn in legs in shorts :D ben
