I've been hankering a Brachetta for ages. This forum is too brief. Is there nothing out there? Should I steer clear? Oh.... please help me!

Unfortunately the mini forums on this site are generic and you are missing the real ones, for example the Brachetta owners club forum is on Yahoo and is very widely used. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/barchetta/

I own a b and they are fantastic... as a second car! This summer was stunning which helped of course but they are a real head turner and 10 times more stylish than the MX5. The fact they are LHD only adds to their charm and keeps the amount of numb nuts owners down.

The mechanics are Punto based and the engine is the 1.8 Coupe and Punto HGT lump with 130BHP vvt.

The downside is they are so much fun to drive that you will spend most of your time finding excuses to go out in it!

I wouldnt want to drive it in the winter though and therefore you need a garage to keep it in.

If you want any more info on it please feel free to ask

I have deleted the majority of this thread as it is to the detriment of the Brachetta section, however the apology remains.

Dear Fiat Expert
I am profoundly sorry that this managed to get out of hand and I apologise unreservedly. I do hope that you accept this apology and return to assisting people on this forum. I will refrain from posting anything so crass again in response.

I owned a barchy for 2 years and it was pretty much trouble free motoring and a lot of fun until i swapped the exhaust for a Stainless DTR system. It was just too loud....guess im getting old!
By the way, i just got rid of my 850 T5 to buy my new panda...best damn car i've ever owned, the T5 that is.

Enjoy

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has found the exhaust noisy! my last barchetta had one and i'm happier without it now - can hear my cds better for one thing!!!

Not to be picky, but this thread is almost 2 1/2 years old
