Hi,

I've a Fiat Barchetta made in 1999 with only the driver airbag; due to the airbag red light bulb on, I decided to make a diagnosis on the TRW airbag ECU, using multiecuscan program; in attached file the results....

I'm confused I cannot understand what is wrong; It seem all airbag system is broken; what should I replace, ECU, or pretensioner o airbag on the steering wheel or all of these ?

Any ideas or suggestions ?

Did you reset it and test again? You might get a different reading.

I've already tried many times to clear errors but with no results; I get always the same error codes.

I seems your airbag ECU has died, it happens.
I'd check the connectors first, but all these random errors do imply you have some internal problems with ECU.

I had a persistent fault that wouldn't clear, this was the process that finally cleared it-

Turn ignition off and key out - wait 15mins
Disconnect battery and turn on headlights! ( I also disconnected both battery leads and joined them together with a cable tie and mole grips, my independent garage told me this 'trick' some years ago, apparently its helps drain down all the capacitors in the car)
Wait an hour
Disconnect airbags
(at this point I also removed the seats to determine if I have pretensioners - I do!)
Check and Clean all connectors
Spray them with contact cleaner
Re-connect - ensure they are all fully home.
My car has a passenger airbag so at this point I turned it off.
Connect the 3 pin lead to ecu and to the laptop
Turn ignition on
Open MES
Click on Connect
Then Clear errors - at this point my errors all cleared.
Disconnect lead to ecu
Start engine to confirm.
Turn engine off and remove keys
Turn passenger airbag back on
Start engine to confirm again

There seems to be a lot of airbag errors at the moment and I have the same problem.

Does anyone know which airbag squib an early 1995 B needs? There seem to be a few different ones as with the airbag ECU.

Is it definitely broken?
Have you tried cleaning the contacts (scraping them with a small screwdriver etc) and contact cleaner spray? It worked on mine.
