In the process of fitting electric mirrors to my barchetta. The passenger side as gone ok, relatively easily found the loom /connection. For the life of me I can not locate the loom/connection on the drivers side. The speakers are out and I've poked and pulled at seemingly everything my fingers can reach. Any ideas were it could be hiding.

I removed my driver's door today and found one piece of cable still attached
that proved difficult to disconnect ,don't know if it was the mirror wires or not .

I found that removing the door light switch in the A pillar and I pulled off all the wires and the remaining cables came free and I could remove the door completely then .

Don't know if this helps ...:)

I did give up, after ownership of my barchetta for 8 years without electric mirrors it didn't seem that important. From some other inquires it seems that the connection could be above the fuse box or behind the speedometer area. I have left two wire tails through the door going into the A pillars saving me taking the door card etc off when I feel in the mood to have another go.

This might be off topic but does this door mirror look familiar? It belongs to the 200mph 10 cylinder Fighter, Bristol car's swansong. They could have used almost any design but chose the Barchetta. Wise decision as I think they are one of the most stylish looking. EDIT and I'm sure streamlined, contributing to the Bristol's 0.27 drag coefficient.

I think I have only ever seen a Bristol Fighter once or twice .

Remember seeing one at a Goodwood Breakfast club , remember them ???....

but seeing as it has fancy doors , they always park with them wide open and

I didn't spot the mirror similarity ....

Yes I do and have been "on the grid" a couple of times with our "B" and Strada Abarth at the Breakfast Club. :D

Soon with luck times will return to normal but I fear not for another year+ yet.
