Hello guys.
Its something its puzzling me for some years.
Do you all have a slack/gap/bang on first gear when you start moving?

I am thinking if there is way to eliminate that, like changing the rubber engine mount with a hydraulic one(from punto)
or adding some rubber sims/spacers to the original.

I don’t have that issue, I would check the mount at the rear of the gearbox first it’s cheap and easy to change. As for hydraulic, I thought the two at the gearbox end were rubber, but the one by the cambelt was oil filled? Is the punto different? The picture is of a new one I’m going to fit at the cambelt end..

I changed the mount for the gearbox last year as the car was juddering a little on take off, very cheap, easy fit and sorted the problem, I would do it anyway.

Changed the back, as you said. I think it did the trick.(or its my impression)

Although the old one seemed great.
