Hello,

I have a question regarding the part number of the Barchetta steel wheels, size 6.5x15 ET32.

On the front I find beside the size, a number that starts with A477 and the last four digits are in my case 0200, but what I can see from other pictures I found in the web, those four digits can vary and are perhaps an idicator for the production date...but I don´t know.

On the inside of the wheels there is the number 1010237 stamped in and this number you find also on other wheels.

But when I go here: http://eper.fiatforum.com/eper/navi...ODE=0&EPER_CAT=SP&DV=0&GUI_LANG=3&WINDOW_ID=0 I find for the part number only 46449582, but this number is nowhere written on the steel wheel...

And this is a big problem for me, because I want to get these wheels homologated on another Fiat, but the engineer wants to have as an evidence a copy from the Fiat parts catalogue, but here the numbers doesn´t match, so it does not help me...:(

So two questions:

1. Is the part number hidden somewhere else on the wheel?
2. Or is the information in the ePER not correct?

Thanks and best regards

I think you need to educate your engineer and needs to understand some basic facts about car part production.

Unless an item is specifically produced for Fiat/Ford/BMW/etc under contract and license then that item (e.g. a wheel bolt or generic part e.g. exhaust support rubber, etc etc) will most likely not carry a Fiat/Ford/BMW part number.

What any such part (e.g. casting, wheel ... if present) will have is some supplying manufacturer's stampings/numbers.

What needs to happen is back to basics.

Originally homolagated and produced part basics:

Rim construction
Rim dimensions
Rim offset
.....
Tyres sizes compatible or originally fitted to said wheel rim

There is no way every component part (wheels included) for any make of car will carry a definitive vehicle manufacturer's logo/part number. What you may be able to find is a manufacturing supplier's part information.
