Hi everyone,hope your all well.

I’ve not been bored I can tell you. Just finished over 100 hours of work on my Barchetta. Started by removing the whole interior because for some reason water was still getting in under the driver’s side floor cover I revealed two new holes so gave it a thorough clean up and welded new patches on, painted on rust eater and zinc sprayed the whole floor. While all that was out I removed the fuel tank and pressure tested it to reveal tiny leaks again around the pump and non-return valves so I took them out and cleaned the rust away and resealed them. No petrol smell now. I think this might be common to all Barchetta’s, the rust where the seals fit is the cause. Anyway all fitted back in and then started on the big job.
I fitted a new clutch and oil seals,on my drive, on a slope, on my own :(.
This is not a job for the faint hearted believe me.
Over 60 hours work, over two weeks, runs like a dream again.
The reason for the clutch change was because I thought it was delaminating.When it had warmed up the clutch seemed to catch slightly as soon as I lifted my foot causing the engine to stall if I didn’t hit the gas immediately and then as I lifted my foot more it caught properly, so it wasn’t actually slipping. Once the friction plate was out it revealed the thin metal plate between the two friction pads was warping and pushing the outside edges of the pads out before the rest of it. (Hard to explain)
Anyway all done and I will do a “How to do” on the forum with lots of pictures.

Well done, sounds like you have been busy, for sure the weather has been good to us.
I'm also considering replacing my clutch, but I had resigned myself to entrusting a garage to do the work. My main concern is the weight of gearbox, and how to re-align the input shaft. I look forward to your picture's.

you are a brave man, my hats off to you to change a clutch in the driveway. The last clutch I changed by myself was a 1958 Dodge Mayfair, slant six back in 1968!! changed it while parked over a ditch no less. I look forward to the pics.
