My B runs really well, but occasionally the electrical systems black out (lights, indicators, dashboard) and after a few seconds (or after fiddling with switches / ignition on/off) it all comes back on. On one occasion, black out lasted for over a day, before magically restoring itself! The engine always starts and runs well even during the electrical black outs.

Hi, I would first check the earthing connection from the battery to the bodywork, also any other earth connections, there are two in the footwell one each side by the speakers I think. Then any electrical connection near or to the ignition switch. Pull out and replace relays. Old fiat connections like to be manipulated from time to time they need relaxing after all the hard work they have done over the years..
