Hi. :)

What is the issue?

Many things are just poor harness connections.. the unplugging and reconnecting during an ECU swap fixes it.. but with the cost of the new ECU.. and any associated resetting..

Lock sets

Dash errors..etc

What vehicle??

Unless it is a "virgin" never used ECU then it will be already coded to another key code unit and keys so won't work with your existing key code unit and keys.

You need a "virginised" ECU or a new one from Fiat.

Similar issue with me today, I need to send the part number to ECU express, where can I find it? Is there a guide on here that'll show me? Thank you

That's why I'm asking what the where the part number is, so I can tell them what the number is and get a quote

Well if you give us (via PM if you are bothered about privacy) you "B"s full VIN/chassis number then we can find the official Fiat P/N and Fiat's official designations. (Too many to list here - VIN based)

An alternative is to rely on generic info from MES / similar diagnostic software.

If I reference MES then you have:

Barchetta Aspirato - Hitachi MPI Injection (1.8 16V '98)
Barchetta Aspirato - Hitachi MPI Injection (1.8 16V)
Barchetta Aspirato/CF3 - Hitachi MPI Injection EOBD

VIN is the starting point and then MES/other diagnostic software can find ISO codes etc.

Sadly with these electronic and computerised components (ECUs, Body Computers, ABS ......) then the details of exact identity is not printed on an outside label but often only available to direct interrogation with suitable software.

My equivalent comparison/identity questions would be Windows 7/8/8.1/10 all qualified by Build Number?

That would be amazing if you could?! Where can I find the "B"s full VIN/chassis number?
