Hey all,
how does the gear knob come off the barchetta as i want to change it to an after market one, dont really want to cut it but had to do so on the seicento, incase i go to sell it on?

It just pulls of, twist it a little to break the seal. Done it on mine fine. Be warned, the stem is very long, I cut 1 inch of mine, which made a nicer feel.

I stuck a Ferrari type on it.

If youre feeling brave you can chop the gearstick down which is pretty long as standard. mine feels great now it is shorter and stubbier (and the gearstick) - shorter gear throws and your hand can rest on the centre console allowing finger flick gearchanges. You also need to chop down the gaiter a tad as well, otherwise there is an excess of donkey foreskin.
make sure you leave enough metal to cut a new thread. The metal is soft enough to use a cheapo chinese thread cutter.

Hi, Are you sure you just twist & pull? I noticed on this German site that there's some plastic latches to lever open?
