Hi, and greetings from Finland. A newbie here: I recently bought myself a 1997 Barchetta. Drives nicely, and all is original and seems to be working well. One of the previous owners has installed a suspension kit, which is, in my opinion, way too hard in daily drive. I am planning to return back to standard springs and schocks. Springs are already ordered, but after looking closely to the rear suspension I began to wonder whether standard springs fit in the mountings shown in the photo? Or do I need to order the thrust rings as well?

Your springs appear to have an aluminium threaded adjuster which is not standard. You might find that the original springs will not sit on that adjuster. If it does fit OK, the spring might be compressed by approximately 20mm. This shouldn't affect ride height but might stiffen it a little. Hope this helps.

This is a pic of my standard spring (the right way up, lol!)

Thank you for your advice and the image, Davefridge. Now I know how the standard suspension looks...I ordered also the standard thrust rings in case the standard spring will not fit to the aluminium adjuster.
