Can anyone tell me am not losing my mind. My gears have been not moving properly since November when I stop an start in traffic.

For example your be at the red lights place the gear in to neutral. Lights go green an my car will not go in to 1st gear. An can’t move to any gear. So I’ve have to turn my engine off put my hazards on an then turn my engine on an wait 10mins an gears move again.

I’ve had my gear box taken out twice an they can’t see anything an
I just got a new clutch 5 days ago but still having the same problem.
The problem seems to be intermittent.
It’s making me scared to drive in traffic as know it’s going happening.

Where is the "bite point" on the clutch pedal? If its right near the floor, i'd guess the cable might need adjusting. Was the original clutch plate worn or contaminated with oil?

Nope bite point is where It would normally be.

The original clutch nearly burnt all out two weeks ago.

Before the smell started of the burning, my gears were refusing to shift an my car started shaking. I Left my car till the morning an managed to drive a short less then a mile distance with my car to the garage an it was fine to drive.

So I got a new clutch hoping all problems would stop which isn’t the case.
When I took it to the garage they had said that no oil spill or anything on the clutch .
