Dear all,
I have a 1995 Barchetta. Nothing is written related to EURO Standard in the "Carte Grise", registration paper for France.
As impact, it is considered as a EURO 1 as first registration was before 97.
What can I do ? I understood it is aligned with EURO2. Where can I find a document which I can use to prove it ?

This could be a difficult issue for you.

I can't talk specifically about your Barchetta but there are TWO factors here.

1) What the vehicle was officially homologated as, Euro I or Euro II
2) What Euro standard Fiat built the vehicle to

For example, the Fiat Croma 2005 16V 150BHP was homologated as a Euro4 but was fitted with DPF, EGR, etc. to comply with forthcoming Euro 5 regulations.

Fiat Customer Service in your country/Italy should be able to tell what the vehicle was homologated as.

It is the official homologation that will dictate how the vehicle will be treated.

This page makes good reading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_emission_standards#Euro2

Just looked at my French Carte Gris (V5) section V.9 states the emmission standard. In my case for 1998 it reads “70/220*94/EURO2.
Check your Carte Gris.
