Needed new rear callipers but passed! Yay! She was still on her originals so 20yrs old. That seems fair!

Great to hear. Hoping to get mine done in the next week or so, but there's a fair amount of rebuilding to do first!

Sorry to be dim but do calipers have a service life? I replaced my front ones a while ago but that was because I had the early (rattly) type so I switched to the later (quiet) design, but I just assumed that calipers would last indefinitely and maybe just need new seals now and again? I did my rear pads and discs last year and the calipers seemed okay...
No service life but the seals will eventually go although rust will be the biggest killed of them especially if it gets into the internal workings
