Whenever I browse Henk's, website looking for rubber window seals there seems to always be the question of what generation or series are you looking for. The car is a registered 98 model built in June of 97. I'm , looking for the rear vertical seal on the passenger side. Can anyone tell me if they are similar to the ones on a Miata?

Hiya, There are two series for the Barchetta which were the series one model from years 1995-1998 built at the Maggiora factory and series two 1999-2002 gap 2004- 2005 built at the Fiat Mirafiori plant.

An easy way to tell which series your Barchetta is, Look under the hood.
a Mk 1 or series 1 has an aluminum inlet manifold and different intake as shown on the silver B

A Mk2 or series 2 has a black plastic inlet manifold and different look to the intake as shown on the blue B.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks a lot KC3, I see the difference. The "Maggoria" stamped in the doorsill confirms it. So, if there is only two why do I see a series three mentioned?

Hi eramosa,
if you change the three rubber seals on each side, you can use any series. The series / generation is only important if you do not change all the rubber seals.

Thanks guys. I bit the bullet and ordered the obviously platinum encrusted rubber window seal and left and right interior door handle shrouds from Henk. This is what happens when you buy something you have no business owning :D
