Noooooo....

That's an awesome video! Essential to watch it with the volume turned to 11.

A great chum of mine is restoring a Mk 1 E-Type, and wants us to do a road-trip next year. He was thinking of the Beaujolais run, but this would be much more fun!

JUST
DO
IT ! (y):D

For the 100th time I had to check this thread to ensure I wasn't repeating myself and turns out that there is a gaping void between 17 and 19 with no posts from 18 , I must have been too busy road tripping to post or doing it all on the other forum.
I've lost all the pics now anyway on both a broken phone and a laptop .

I went to Europe 7 times in 2018 , starting in March .

Got up at silly o clock to drive to Stuttgart for Retro Classics , huge show at the Messe by the airport , when finished there drove up to Essen for Techno Classica , at the Messe . I was unsure beforehand whether 2 huge classic car shows in the same country over same 3 days was stupid or genius .

Both shows are huge , been to Essen before and decided that as both shows were packed with cars , that it was genius to put them on simultaneously as people could easily go to both over 3 days , although people who take longer to go around such a big show might need 2 days to cover it all .1168 miles

April and I'm off to France , first to Mulhouse for the huge collection of Bugattis and other cars and then to an Abarth collection at a chateau , Chateau Savigny les Beaunes , Google it , well worth a visit with displays also of fire engines ,tractors ,military aircraft ,motorbikes too.
The Abarths are in an upstairs room , no idea how they got them up there ,poorly lit and a bit stuffed in tightly .After that to Magny Cours circuit for Tour Auto. 1263 miles .

May and it's Mille Miglia time again , on the way to Mettet , Belgium for world RX , then to car museums in Germany and Austria ,the MM and then some more car museums and home .3164 miles .

End of June to the trip shown in the thread I posted last night to Vernasca and some more car museums in Germany. 3017 miles

July , the trip to Eiffel Rallye also in the thread above .817 miles .

October , the 3rd trip to Italy in 2018 , disaster , the throttle cable broke , wasting 4 days until it was fixed . missed the big classic car show in Padua ,Auto Moto d'Epoca but still went into Italy anyway ,for 1 whole day and home again ,via Autoworld in Brussels .2199 miles .

November and it's Brussels again , back to Autoworld as they have ever changing special exhibitions and there was a different one on from the previous month and also on same day to Inter Classics at the Brussels Expo centre ,another large show .All in 1 day .461 miles .

2 weeks Into 2019 and January , it's Inter Classics again , only this time it's the sister show in Maastricht , Netherlands , another day trip .584 miles .

2018 was the highest mileage for the Fiat , at 13700 miles ,it competes with 2019 for my best year .

2019 takes it for the 2 trips making 9 weeks in Italy 5741 and 3838 miles plus 3 other trips .

a random pic .

This thread hasn't had any action for a while ,for obvious reasons but as I have just made my first trip since scrapping Fabio the FIAT I thought a couple of pics of Barchettas wouldn't go amiss .

This car was seen at the Vernasca Silver flag event ,first went to it in 2018
It's two tone with blue over green I kind of like it .
Parked behind a stand filled with some priceless Maseratis ,the red car is a unique 1 of 1 Drogo bodied Tipo 61. I saw it at it's home near Modena just 2 days ago too .

Other car is in a compound in a seedy area near Lucca ,very poor condition and being overcome by weeds .
