My 188A6 died.
Found 183A1
What difference between them? What should be replaced from old engine
ECU from 188 will work on 183 or not?

Temperature, cam position, crank position, knock and oil pressure sensors are identical.
There's a separate idle control valve and air flow meter in 183, where 188 has a throttle position sensor and air flow meter integrated in the throttle body.
So if you use the original Ecu and intake manifold and just switch the engine you should be fine.
The engine mounts seem to be the same according to spare parts dealers.

Here's the facelift 2000 model engine manual. Now there's a indication on the index page that the 188 has more than one lambda but I can't see it in the diagrams.
If it has, you should also use the exhaust parts and lambdas from the 188 engine.

My 2001 model has three lambdas and it looks like there are two extra catalysators behind the heat shield. Early cars have much simpler looking headers.

Intake and outtake from old engine.
But I'm not sure about intake. should be different (1/4 nuts)
I'm planning to use everything from old engine - intake, exhaust with lambdas ECU... Only engine block and engine head 183
Only difference should be in tooth count of main belt.
