Hi,removed drivers side rear arch to reveal a few inches of fine mud, moisture and rust :(once treated any ideas from anyone with the sea,e experience?I'm thinking that it just has to be removedregulary to clean properly.

Grind down rust spot to decent metal, weld if needed but if welding cut out bad area, treat rust, red oxide, paint either with a top coat e.g hammerite smooth metal paint or some form of underseal/mastic.. Place clean arch covers back on and keep and eye.. I'd recommend red oxide, hammerite then a clear waxoyl so you can keep an eye on it..

I deliberately didn't replace the plastic arch covers after repairs. But i only use my Barchetta in Summer. They trap a lot of wet muck which promotes corrosion.

Thanks for the replys,i will treat and paint the area.i wish i could just drive her on dry sunny days but living in the uk they dont come around too often :) im not out in all weather though.thanks again
