I am in South Africa (only one Barchetta here!) where technicians do not know the car, and therefore will not be able to match the clutch to another Fiat Model. Is the clutch the same as used on the Fiat Stilo or Grande Punto? - Knowing this will make it easy to locate a new clutch kit for my "B", thus removing much guesswork or rebuilding which I do not want. Thank you!

Going by the link above it is common to all fiat cars with the same era 1.8 16v engine.

I've just checked on ePER and although I have NOT used your chassis number to make sure we get exactly the correct match, it looks like the clutch kit (plate, cover assembly, thrust release bearing) is common with the following cars:

Brava, Bravo, Coupe, Lancia Dedra, Lancia Delta, Alfa GTV, Alfa 155, Alfa Spider, Alfa 146, and 146

Use ePER on this site, use your model number and chassis number to get the correct version of your car and then you can get the clutch kit part number. Use this number in the Search function and you will then see a list of the cars that use the same part.
