Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

Sweet cars people.
As you all say to lower my car, and i agree, once i get some money, how low do you lot think, 30 or 40mm?
cheers

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

I baught LOWTEC -45mm but it is still to high for me... Ok you have 17" I have 16" So i guess that -45 would be perfect for you car

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

Anything over 30mill will require a complete suspension change, 30mill and you can use springs only, any more then the whole lot gets more expensive.
Springs will give you 5 to 15% stiffness. 17"'s should make no difference as the wheel is the same, just less tyre. I would not do more than 30mill myself.

:)

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

the whole suspension change must be done if you lower your car for -5cm or more...
As I read in car tunning forums and stuff and also talking to workers and sellers...

205/40/17 or 215/40/16 the difference betwen those dimensions is 2cm in size... so in this case the 17" would car look lower...

P.S. I still didnt get the badge :D

Your shocks need to be changed if you lower her more than 30mill, anything less then the spring change will be enough.

:)

You buy bigger alloys not tyres, if your total wheel size has increased then your speedo will be out. You compersate tyre for wheel, the small the alloy the more tyre and visa versa.

PS badge has been sent.

Do a search on the net, But there around £120 max for the 4 springs. and some one should charge you no more than £130 to fix them. To be safe get the AA to check them after for insurance reasons, or just leave it and hope no one noticies.

Oh where in the UK do you live?

Not the best shot!

Taken straight after putting the wheels on, so the front is still a little high!

Like that yellow number a lot (not normally a fan of yellow, changing my mind) saying that all B's look good no matter the colour.

:slayer: The wheels really do her some justice. What are they and err cheeky question, how much? inc tyres?

Thanks for the nice comments! ;)

The wheels are BK Racing 299's 17" with 10mm spacers on the rear (PROPER ones - not mickey mouse universal ones!)

Tyres are Falken 215/40/17's to give a little bit extra protection to the rim and they fit the rim better than 205's anyway!

I can't remember the exact cost (I bought them quite a while ago!) but I know they were under £600 for the set (plus about £80 for the spacers! :( )

I see you're in Swindon - I'm from Bristol....maybe have to meet up when the weather improves?? Car's too filthy to be showing it off this time of year!

Regards for now,

Bruce.
