Booked my B in for its yearly check on the Power flow exhaust next week, also having a remap, can't wait.

What year/model is yours - I was under the impression the mk1s with Hitachi ECUs can't be remapped.

I too think it can't be remapped, but I went in to book the B into have the exhaust's yearly check over. And noticed that power flow now do remaps, so inquired how much etc, he took the cars details gave me a price, saying that it would take about 3 hours, as they ring Power flow with the cars diagnostics, they then remap according to your perticular cars detail.

We will see, I hope it can be done, I will let you know the outcome.

Well I can confirm that my B can't be remaped, disappointed but I will now try Superchips, I think they replace the ECU chip.
Would like to hear what others think regarding replacing the chip?

I had a chip replacement done by Superchips on another car years ago and it worked well.

Cost is £230+vat a bit dear for an extra 8 BHP, so will have a think on it. Process is remove ECU and pass on to my nearest dealer in my case ABP Motorsport, they then send of to superchips to swop chips, post back next day, I refit ECU. So may do this over winter perhaps.
