Hi,
My 98 LE has central locking but no remote fobs. Both doors lock when using the key in one door. Questions are;
a. can anyone advise where the best place is to obtain these?
b. Do I have to have them synchronised with the red master key?
Cheers

The Barchetta didn't come with remote locking as standard and the Meta kits mentioned on here were an option you could buy from Fiat. The Meta kit is now discontinued unfortunately.

The Meta remote fobs aren't linked to the ignition keys so nothing needs programming or syncing if you fit one.

There are loads of remote locking kits on eBay but they are more involved to fit, not a problem if you're happy to delve into the wiring diagrams though.

Thanks Pete. Looking through the history of the car, it had remote fobs and at one point the car went into have its alarm checked. The alarm was repaired and I assume between then and my ownership the alarm played up again and has been turned off from the box under the bonnet and the remote fobs were lost or not passed on the the next owner.
So I assumed all the mechanics and sensors are in place just the the fobs missing. I can live without the alarm and remote operated locking but wondered if it was a straight forward fix.
Regards

Thanks Pete. Yes aded to my wish list. My intention is to give the car a thorough going over in the winter, take the bumpers off, seats out etc and clean rust proof etc. The engine bay and areas behind most rubber seals are coated with grime, all need some TLC. Main thing now is to enjoy the car with the best bits of weather. Having read loads of posts on this forum I have oodles of stuff on my wish list but will try to keep my questions in new or appropriate threads. Off to post a new thread reference keys.

My Barchetta doesn't have remote locking, but something I'd like to do some time is to fit a remote boot/trunk opener. I frequently go to the car to take something out of the boot/trunk and find it a nuisance having to unlock the car to access the lever. Anyone got ideas? It is cable operated so should be fairly easy:p
