I have just found (after 14 years!) the "left hand drive" rear fog light and reversing light units, which I replaced with new "right hand drive" units from FIAT, the day after I picked up my 1999 LE from Autohaven in December 1999.

They are "as new", with the bulbs and connectors still in place, the plated side/end clips still shiny and the screws still black! The fog light is marked "46724576 B695 279-S" and was manufactured 11/08; the reversing light is marked "46724577 B695 279-D" and was manufactured 10/08.

They have been kept boxed and wrapped in a soft cloth, although the fog light has a a small mark (not scratch) which should easily polish/detail out.

I realise they are not much use to anyone on here, but wondered if anyone has any idea where might be best to advertise them, for "genuine" LHD B owners, other than Ebay?

You could try www.leboncoin.fr it's a French site (in French) but I am sure if you use Google translate you could sell them on there without too much trouble.

I've just checked on leboncoin, no rear lights listed, but fwiw prices here in France are MUCH higher than the UK! It was cheaper for me to buy new rear calipers and pads in the UK and have them posted here and fitted than it would've been to get them at leclercauto. I have also checked on www.oscaro.com and they don't list any rear lights for the 'B'.
'Feu arriere' by the way.
Hope this helps. How much are you looking for?

Just a thought about your L H D lights..... When I took my B' to France I changed the reversing light with the fog light and re-connected them, passed the French CT (Mot to you), I have now changed them back for UK use and passed the UK MOT, point being that the lights fitted as standard are interchangeable, I am surprised that they are for L H D use only.
Enlighten me

Hi Blue!

This is exactly what Autohaven used to do; they imported the cars they sold from Germany and swapped the lights over as you have (and there is no problem with this at all!).

However, the lights are slightly curved to follow the contour of the bumper and also slightly angled from top to bottom.

Thus, when simply swapped from side to side, there are slightly larger panel gaps around "swapped" units than "proper" units which, ordinarily, you would not notice.

Unless you have automotive OCD. Like me. ;-)

I owned the little boat for 10 years and covered (iirc) less than 6,000 miles, never drove it in the rain, never parked it where I could not see it and spent more time polishing it and staring at it than actually driving it.....

It has gone to a good home (a member on here at one time) and hopefully now gets driven properly! :)

You will all be going out and removing your lights now to see what I mean.....

Regards, Richard

Nice reply by the way

Hi Crachat, sorry - I missed your question! I had not really thought about the price (not wanting to break any forum rules!) but it looks like the units have found a good home now, anyway! Merci, monsieur!
