There are countless oil threads but Ive been recommended (by DTR) to use Texaco Havoline semi-synthetic 10-40 in the 'chetta - better than Mobil 1 apparently...

since they are specialists I take their word for it

don't have knowledge about oils... but i was told it should be seldom oil for lubricating variator... but really not sure if this is correct.

I've been using Gulf Tec Plus 10w40 semi synthetic from Home Bargains for years.

It's only a tenner for a 4 litre bottle.
