Aston got glint ;) Stunning gunmetal grey, eh.. very 007

go for the gunmetal. Don't hesitate as it is stunning!

I've chosen the color, Its called tungsten silver and was used on the famous Ford GT, AC Cobra, Aston Martin and this Ferrari.
Wishing the B will look as good as these. :D

Id imagine the engine bay and bonnet are painted matt because of heat maybe causing problems or discolouring the clearcoat.

But can anyone confirm this, as I would have liked to have my engine bay and hood painted with gloss but have been advised againt it.

OOOH! She's cooking!

Went to the paintshop this evening and the B had just been sprayed.:D
From looking through the oven window she looks great but I will need to wait until tommorow to see the final result. :(

Roll on tommorow!

LOL!! ME TOO, :)

I've taken my time getting her back together as I've been changing clips, screws and bolts over to new ones where i can.
Re-painting small things like headlight brackets, bonnet release spring and hook and also the rear seat belt bars.

Today I wired up an interior light delay, the rear parking sensors, wired in the new fog lamp and worked on the new brake light system. Lots of red lights at the back, but hoping it will keep others in my rear at a safe distance. :p

Managed to get her out of the shop just for a quick photo. :yum:

 :) :D ;) :yum: :D
The B is finally back together and the new paint job finished.
In a couple of months when the paint is fully cured I will polish/glaze the paintwork and add protection in the form of a tough glass-coat.
This will give her the ultimate protection from all the elements. :D:D:D

Thanks guys, its been a busy few weeks to get her completed but glad its done. I needed to complete the work prior to an operation i,ve just had yesterday to repair a broken scaphoid bone in my wrist. I,ve actually just got home from the hospital. The time off from work and the insurance payout allowed me to get the B worked on. Total spend has been around a thousand euros. The painter only cost 700 euro and another 300 to Henk.

I saved my self a thousand euros by dismantling and re asembling the B as the painter would have charged 1700 for the job had he done it. :)

I will now be resting for a few months recovering and so the B will also hibernate through the winter.
So wishing you all well and a lovely xmas and new year . :).
