founda that just seacrching google :p

cost £3500 tho

Lol just a out of my budget by a lot hehe.

Oh well if i win on a scratch card or something one of these days Ill get a barchetta and get it converted.

But i guess i will have to do with LHD.

Suppose it should be easy to get to grips with it.

converting the car actually reduses the value aswell

also in LHD the dash is tilted towards the driver, when RHD it is still tilted towards the LHDriver (now the passenger)

id leave it in LHD, you get used to it! belive me :D

dtr sports in esher (I think it's esher) do these conversions regularly. Check their website at www.dtrsports.com for more info. Does cost £3500 though I'm afraid. :(

They also import and restore dry state 124 Spiders too. :)

thats who i said!!!!

did you not review the other posts  :p

and there in Sheen, nowhere near Esher, i live near Esher and i dont live anywhere near Sheen! :p

Leave it LHD - it stops the massed ranks of MX5 owner buying them and adds a touch of exclusivity. Even my wife drives it without any problem and I prefer LHD from a drivers perspective.

Nope. And I did state "I think". It's East Sheen so I guess that's where I got muddled. East Sheen, Esher. Sound kind of similar.

Dave - you're not wrong really. The dash IS angled to the wrong side as stated above so trim-wise it's not right. Possible I guess but not right.

Suppose I can chat up lasses at the kerb side on the right side of the road with it being in LHD still at the wheel.

Then ill have to get the hydraulics and do an ali G like at the beginning of In DA HOUSE innit.

You can't enjoy a barchetta if you're going to make it RHD... All good sports cars are made only LHD... Lancia Delta Integrale, E30 BMW M3, many popular porches to name but a few. You'll become an expert at reversing through the drive-thru, automatic car park barriers etc...

Not to mention that the car was designed to be left hand drive, you never really know how it will behave in RHD format, what stuff breaks due to the conversion. I certainly wouldn't touch a RHD one.

I just looked closer at that pic, and the centre console points towards the passenger side...

Theres no need to change it to RHD.
Ive driven my dads a few times and you will be surprised how fast you will get used to it being that way. Its fine in LHD.

LOL :)

Yeah you have to have a friend in the car for Mac D's, but on the good side you get them to pay!!!!!

Barchettas like most paople say (SHOULD BE LEFT LHD) think on the structrial changes made to make it RHD, I would not want that worry, altering the factory spec. And as people say, the dash is all wrong.

Not worth spending over 3k converting it as it actualy lowers the re-sale value. also you have to get a cert from the insurance company conforming the work is 100% spot on.
