Put the 20v T engine in the barchetta? or no weather its possible or not? cheers

I believe there have been several discussions on it over the years and it seems that the 4 cylinder engine will fir but not the 5 cylinder. Well, not without a blooming big hammer!

I've read of someone putting a 20VT in a punto mk 2 which has the same floorpan as the Barchetta. I think it could be done, although not easily..

The 16v turbo from the coupe will go in with some new engine mounts and driveshaft mods. Forget the 20v its way to long and will never fit in the Barchetta.

The only issue is the 16v turbo engine is getting really old so you will have to fully rebuild it before putting it in the Barchetta.

what about only adding turbo parts to barchetta engine from coupe? now i replaced all parts from crankshaft to camshaft in my engine, all bits 'n bolts, sealings... all except pistons.

if is same engine 1.8 16V, only that coupe had turbo...

A nice blue 20V turbo coupe pulled along side at the lights today. He left me totally for dead and I thought the B was quick!!!

You would have to beef up the suspension, brakes and everything else for the b to handle that amount of power.
