Looking for help....
Is there any chance someone can post me some good quality pics of what a mk 2 bumper should look like. Especially the lights and grill?
I've recently fitted the fibreglass Mk2 bumper that is being sold on fleabay and would like to match the origional grill / mesh.
I'll take some pics of what i've ended up with.
The fleabay item build quality is not good, needed some cleaning up with a dremel and screw fixings are shoddy.
According to the garage it was a pain in the a** to fit and gel coat is poor
lights are tacky plastic lenses with poor fitting bulb holders (probably sold for $2 each in china) I drove about 5 miles tonight before fog lights shorted out due to metal band around the +ve wire???
The good things about the bumper:
It weighs a fraction of what the old Mk1 plastic bumper weighs.... According to bathroom scales the new one is about 7kg didn't weigh the old one but it's surprisingly heavy
It's alot better than what I had before and from a few feet away it looks the dogs b****ks . I have always prefered the look of the MK2 nose job
At the end of the day I'm a happy camper. B is back on the road without the fear of loosing parts of the front bumper.... Damn speed bumps !!
Cheers !
