The car is a Fiat Barchetta 1999 in green paint with a beige leather interior.
Car has only 130,000 km clean and going for 3200 Euro's
comes with a hard top

I have not seen the color with beige before. Would this be a good buy?

any help would be helpful

Thanks,
Ron

Colour is Stelvio Green. It was a limited edition according to this site only 1000 were made.

130,000 km seems quite high.

Not sure what a 1999 Barchetta normally sells for in germany but the hard top would add another 5-600 euros to the price.

If the car has been well maintained and has a good service history with recent cambelt and variator replacement I'm sure it will be good for many years of fun driving.

Personally I like the colour combination. (y)

That car you show is the same type I am looking at. Green paint with a beige leather. The car is from the Original owner, with full records, naturally it's at a dealer here in Germany.
The km's are average for this age.....1999
I plan to visit this week, hopefully the car checks out good.

Is there anything I need to pay close attention to?

Thanks,
Ron

Hi Ron - welcome to the Forum!

Have a look at the Barchetta Lexikon, which has lots of useful information about all things Barchetta. This is the article about the Limited Edition model:

I only just saw your post today, so I don't know if you have already bought the B you were looking at. In case you haven't, and you are still searching for one, this checklist may come in handy:
http://www.barchetta-lexikon.de/?action=artikel&daten=g012

Other people on the forum are better placed to give technical advice, but I'd look for the following:

- Does it have a service history?
- Make sure it comes with the big red "master key"
- when were cam belt and variator (Dieselteil) last changed?
- Is the roof OK?

Other than that, look at the Gebrauchtwagencheckliste (see link above).

Whereabouts in Germany are you based?

Regards
Giorgio

Sorry to hijack this thread -

Hi Giorgio! I don't think you are getting my e-mails - could you e-mail me direct so I can reply - I found lots of old B bruchures including French, German and English ones and some other B articles (in Fiat Forza etc); they belong to Barry and you are welcome to have them!

Now, back to the original thread.... (Sorry!)
